David Lee — Live at The Braumart
Songwriter behind the hits you know.

Saturday, August 22, 2026 | Doors 6:00 PM | Concert 7:00 PM
David Lee- Grammy Nominated Songwriter Live at The Braumart

Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame. The man behind the hits you already know by heart. You’ve heard his songs performed by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Cody Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, John Michael Montgomery, Mark Wills and more. Now hear the stories—and the songwriter—behind the music.

David Lee wrote #1 songs for Mark Wills ("19 Somethin'"), John Michael Montgomery ("Letters From Home"), and Montgomery Gentry ("Lucky Man") — and earned a Grammy nod for "I Need You," recorded by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill.
Now this Texas hit-maker brings his own show to Iron Mountain — blues, swing, and traditional country from a true Nashville storyteller. One night only, up close, in a historic theatre.

A Wichita Falls, Texas native and third-generation musician, David Lee cut his teeth playing a mix of blues and country in Texas honkytonks before chasing his dream to Nashville. There he became one of country music's most successful songwriters, penning a remarkable string of hits — including the #1 singles "19 Somethin'" for Mark Wills, "Letters From Home" for John Michael Montgomery, and "Lucky Man" performed by Montgomery Gentry. His love song "I Need You," recorded by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, earned Lee a Song of the Year Grammy nomination in 2008.
Now performing as an independent artist, Lee brings a sound that moves from blues to swing to traditional country and everything in between — the full range of a writer who has spent a lifetime mastering the craft. In 2025, he was inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Beyond his own music, Lee is a champion of the songwriting community. He mentors emerging independent artists — including his daughter, Jessee Lee — and in 2024 founded the Texas Songwriters Relief Fund, which supports touring songwriters facing unforeseen hardships on the road. It's a fitting mission for an artist who has spent his career honoring the craft and the people who keep music alive.

This is a rare chance to see a true Nashville hit-maker and storyteller up close, in the intimate setting of a historic theatre.
