The MISSION of implementing a community center and children's museum in Dickinson County and surrounding communities is to provide a safe gathering place for children, youth, adults and the elderly.
The Imagination Factory Children's Museum, the centerpiece of the Our Place Community Center, enhances interactive learning, unique creative play and self-discovery for children. The Our Place Community Center-Imagination Factory Children's Museum sponsors experiences for children, youth and family members: children's play activities, leadership training pods, career development workshops, education series and family events.
Parents strongly desire and value having a place to meet other parents and having their children active in creative and innovative learning experiences outside of school. Local stakeholders have acclaimed and applauded the importance of promoting healthy lifestyle choices for families and serving participants of all ages. Parents especially value children experiencing interactive play and creative learning that is not available at home.
